Graduating with a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College majoring in Asian Studies has sharpened my knowledge of Asian history, language and culture. I spent Junior Year abroad in Kyoto, Japan, relocating to the Bay Area in 1993 and speak Japanese.

I have been very active in the Bay Area community. As Founder of ClothingSwap.com I have created and hosted over 310 eco-chic charity Clothing Swap events, and in turn have donated (literally) tons of clothing to shelters and foster homes in need since 1994. I host Toy Drives annually to benefit San Francisco Firefighters and Toys for Tots. Having personally raised over $110k combined for Marin Abused Women’s Shelter, Marin General Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital, Susan G. Komen breast cancer research, La Casa de las Madres,  Ruby’s Place, Sutter Breast Cancer Center, AIDS humanitarian research, and Teach for Africa, clearly a passionate goal of mine is to truly help our community and fine non-profits in the Bay Area!
